I am currently setting up a system in which a CPU315 -2PN/DP will be sending control commands to a D445 (6AU1445-0AA00-0AA0) to carry out the motion.

So far I can see 2 reasonable solutions:

1. Set it as a Master-Master system up using X_SEND and X_RECEIVE with _xsend and _xrecieve (Assuming this communication is only set in program and not in any config?
2. Set the CPU as a Master with D445 as a PROFIBUS islave where address are set in the DP iSlave properties in the HW config. (these addresses also do no appear in the hardware config unless you go to properties?)

Is there a preffered solution or another way to do this as I am struggling to get these to communicate?

if you use D445,then you can use it to control the motion .

normally,we use the Fcpu to comunicate with the D445,to do some safety program.

what you need them CUP 315 to do ?

I know this but I am using the CPU for all proccess control and the D445 for positioning and need these 2 objects to interface with each other. I am essentially want the CPU 315 to send a word to the D445 to carry out predetermined positioning moves for each axis.

I am using 10 Axis with another external CU320.

i-Device works fine for this.  I've done this with S1200's and 153 Et200 CPU's before using either D435 or D410.

If you don't need to exchange too much data you can either use the simple Profibus master-slave connection.

The PLC is the network master and Simotion as slave. You can either exchange the Safety data for Sinamics as STO-SLS etc.

No code is required and the byte-word mapped area is available as address list in the Scout side.

The only restriction is both of the controller stand in the same project

I have  looked at the LCom over PROFINET option and it says that cyclic operation can have scan times of over 500ms which is far too much for my application.

I have X_SEND and X_RECEIVE set up on a PROFIBUS network over master master with _xsend and _xreceive on the SIMOTION side.

I am struggling with the SIMOTION side as I'm getting the error "3015: END_IMPLEMENTATION expected before retVal" which does not make sense to as as it has to be in the implementation.

The _xsend function is written below if someone could problem solve this for me and there is no solid examples online on how to write the code for it (bear in mind I am a beginner).
