please, do you anybody know, what is the reason when I cannot to copy RAM to ROM on one CU320?

Description: I have a line with Simotion D455 and some CUs. I am connected to one CU. When I change e.g. the topology comparison in project and then I click to Download to target device, it is done very well. After that, I click to Copy RAM to ROM, It looks good for a moment (copying is running) and in a few seconds goes CU connection to OFFLINE. Therefore, it isn´t possible to finish Copy RAM to ROM well.

 I tried to do it when Simotion PLC was in STOP state, but it is the same.

Some CUs and Sinamics Integrated are possible to copy RAM to ROM, but most of CUs aren´t it.

Where is the problem?

after that, yes. During copying connection goes down, but I can go online to CU again without any problems.

But the next copying RAM to ROM is the same - is wrong.

But just know, i have to find out, how to do FW update.

Problem is:

instance:

problem with sinamics-firmware-version that is lower than V4.6!

Therefore I advise to upgrade all CU320-2 to V4.6 or V4.7!

It has nothing to do with Scout , Starter and Simotion!

It is only a problem of the firmware of the CU320-2!

do you mean remove and reload CF card from all old FW CUs or is it sufficient to do only with main CF in Simotion. And after that FW is automaticly loaded to other CUs ? Am I right?

Yes ,

we talk about CU320-2 PN.

BTW: I see in my Sim. Scout project , that all CUs have FW version 4.5.
