Denker Posts: 90 Rating: (0)	Hi, I´m using a Simotion D445 and a IM153 in profibus DP. So, I would like to know the right way to read/write the inputs/outputs from IM153 in Simotion D ? Must Imake a list of all inputs/outputs bits in the I/O table in Scout or create a ST program and use the commands "_setsafevalue" and"_getsafevalue"? Could someone help me, please ? Greetings

Using the fixed process image of the BackgroundTask When the I/O Adresses of the IM is in the space 0 .. 63 then you can access the I/O directly in program with the syntax %In.x or %Qn.x (n=byteadress, x=bitadress). 2.) Via direct access with I/O variables This is the way you describe in you post an works for adresses >=64.
