Simotion D goes to stop if one CU is off

Ziemens Silver Member Joined: 3/2/2007 Last visit: 4/3/2025 Posts: 982 Rating: (5)	Kindly, a Simotion D455 is, on the same Profinet network, with CU320 control units, and IM155 interface modules. If one control unit is off, due to some reason, the Simotion goes to stop, and we will not have any data from the network. So, we will not read the inputs anymore, to check what happened. Any way to keep the Simotion running, even if some nodes are missing ? 6AU1455-2AD00-0AA0 , 6AU1400-2PA23-0AA0-Z M44 , 6SL3040-1MA01-0AA0 , 6SL3054-0FB01-1BA0 , 6ES7155-6AU01-0CN0 , 6ES7138-6CG00-0BA0

The issue is that we need to add some kind of OB's (like we do with plc's), to keep the Simotion running, even in case of faults. Is this possible? Attachment alarm_at_cu320_off.jpg (322 Downloads)

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 4/24/2025 Posts: 22601 Rating: (3060)	it will stop if you access i/O of the CU directly from simotion program then you get this access error and simotion switch to stop this is normal. you can use _set/_getsafevalue for accessing and errorhandling to go not into stop or you configure in the i/O Symbol table a substitution value for the I/O of CU
