In a application where are using the old Simotion 435(1), i got the error:

1340: Topology Too much components on branch (Components number 21, error cause 4hex)

The components 21 is a TM54F modul, but is connected alone directly on the x102 port of control unit.

On x100 port is connected the first motor modul.

In the topology i have 3 double motor modul in servo mode and the TM54F module. Not other device

I try to increase the value of parameter p0115 in the control unit from 3ms up to 5ms but the error still

Any idea?

FW of D435 is 4.3

Order number of TM54F is 6SL3055-0AA00-3BA0

Both components are used on a prototype machine until past month, and work correctly.

Now my company has disassembled the prototype and recycled all component for a new machine. On the topology of prototype machine, i had just 4 servo axis and i startup the TM54F without problem.

Could be a problem that in the new project we us 6 servo axis?

What i remember was 6 servo axis or 4 vector axis.

I don't remember nothing about terminal modules. Can you indicate to me a link where get the right documentation about it? It will be very apreciated

But the explanation is little bit ambiguos. i use the extended safety function only in 1 axis. The limit of 5 axis is to inted as maximum number of axis with extendet safety function, ot total number of axis.

I say that because in another similar application i use 6 axis and only one of these was using tm54f and extended safety. The project work correctly. Of course was the 435-2 controller.

In the manual of commisioning in chapter 1.5.3.1 seem that max number of axis is 6 + 3 TM (for tm54f the sample time can change).

How i can know exactly how many module i can connect?

Is the possibility to change some saple time for use that TM54f on this project?

Finally the problem are solved.

The problem was not the max number of drives, but the number of drive on same Drive CliQ branch.

I moved 2 drive on another Drive CliQ for have max 4 drives on same branch and all works.

the configuration is now:

X100----X200Drive1

X101----X200Drive2

               X201---X200Drive3

X102----X500TM54F

The only point make me little bit confused is that in a similar machine but with D435-2 6 Drives on same branch + TM54F in another don't give me any trouble
