Simotion D435 and CPU 1200 series using profinet

Celio Silva Posts: 36 Rating: (2)	Hello, I'm using a D435 Simotion with CBE 30 profinet interface, communicating with an ET200 S remote I/Os and a HMI TP177B. Everything is working fine, but now I have to communicate with a CPU 1214 using profinet too... Does anyone have a document or an idea about how to make this communication ? Thanks in advance !

I hear about the possibility to make a TCP connection, but I think is not so reliable... Until this, I'll use profibus in this case, thank for your attention ! Regards, Celio

Peynet_J Posts: 8 Rating: (1)	Yes but S7-1200 needs TIA Portal I know how to make a communication with CU305PN, cause the gsdml file works in TIA Portal, but I'm not sure you can export the Simotion gsdml file and use it in TIA Portal as an I-Device. Did anyone already try this configuration ? By the way, TCP-IP communication should work (if S7-1200 is able to manage such a communication)

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	After creating an I-Device configuration in Simotion, it is possible to create and export a gsd file (Hardware Configuration > Options > Create GSD file for I-Device). Although I have not tried it with TIA Portal, once you have a GSD file, there should be a somewhat standard method of handling them in TIA Portal: much like Step7.
