Chandhu Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	I AM WORKING IN SM150 DRIVES.I FACING THE PROBLEM WITH CURRENT SETTINGS. MY CURRENT LIMIT MAX SETTING (P640) IS 3290 AMPS WHICH IS 180% OF MOTOR RATING. I FOUND IN SOME LOADS MOTOR TAKING 3300 AMPS BUT INVERTER NOT TRIPPING IN ANY FAULT. IS ANY TIME SETTING OR DELAY FOR THE CURRENT SETTING? OR ANY OTHER PARAMETER WHICH IS RELATED TO THIS TOPIC? PLEASE GIVE SUGGESTIONS... REGARDS, DILEEP KUMAR

Can u please explian theoritically.(using parameters).. My idea to check..Is there any fixed time as per current limit or any instant tripping for some value?

The overcurrent trip of the drive is depending on the hardware and can not parameterized.

Chandhu Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	HelloTech Team, Thanks for ur reply. Iam going to explain my drive (SM150) problem.There are two diferent cases that iam confusing. But as per my analysis of feedback current,torque,speed is as follows: 1.Current limit (P640) for drive is 3290.In this case drive taken 3400 amps,it tripped on overcurrent fault.we conclude due to current,drive tripped. 2.In second case drive taken 3600 amps but drive not tripped. In the two cases my drive unabe acheive the speed.(it is synchrounous motor in rolling mills) so Please expain what may be the cause for this two cases.

It is not possible to trace smaller peaks. So for a comparison a Oszi would be necessary. I guess the load of the motor is too high for the inverter. So decrease the accelerating ramp to reduce the current. If it occur during constant speed, load changes are the reason.
