I just want to warning you that for some proportional valves with the electronic on board the death band of the valve is corrected and the coupling between the cam and the axis is not required or generate an overshoot while appreoaching the setpoint.

If you are managing a standard valve with the death band (more or less -10% to +10%) I suggest to start a dummy positioning forward / backward monitoring with the trace.

You better start with integral gain = 0 and step by step increasing the proportional gain starting from small values (5,0) up to 40.0 (very much depending on the inertia of your sistem and the type of the valve).

During the increasing test step by step to 5 you will face a positioning vibrating (trace the Actualposition and the QoutputValue); turn back to the previous value and increase step by step the integral gain (step 0,1 each).

If you face overshooting I can suggest to remove the cam coupling and repeate the procedure.

This is what I'm doing on my machines (about 20 hydr. axis)

I am trying to make working hydraulic axe positioning as well. Unfortunately, I have dificulties with enabling and _pos function. Do you have some code examle, sample or description how to do simple hydraulic axe positiong? Thank you.

1)how you defined the TO?
2) what number of fault you face as soon as you try to enable?
3) what number of fault you face as soon as you try to execute a positioning?
4) have you tested the device just forcing the valve opening and the positioning feedback? (encoder measure for instance)
5) have you tested the cyrcuit on the hydraulic side? (pressure for instance).

Posting you even a sample MEANS NOTHING if the prevoius five point are not clear.

Hi,

I am using linear hydraulic axis. I tried 2 definitions Positioning and Following. Both behave same.

Enabling is without error, but when I start positioning it generates allarm 40005 with parameter1 = 0 and parameter2=1

Alarm is generated immediately without any QValue at the output.

Just what I am expecting from the axis. I generate position setpoint continuously and expect the hydraulic axis will follow it. So, I expect I need following axis. Correct?
