We are starting to test with Scout 4.5 on our projects. I've noticed that every time I perform a "save and compile changes", the system detects the need to perform a full save and recompile all on the communication settings and hardware configuration. 

Since our project is quite large with multiple controllers, this causes the compiling of even a simple change to take a long time.  This will be extremely frustrating as we are used to the behavior in Scout 4.4 (only recompile changes)

Is this a new "feature" for scout 4.5, a bug, or something wrong with my project?

Note I have not converted any device firmware in the project, only upgraded the project itself to 4.5 format.

Other things I've tried:

• Save and Recompile all
• Save as with reorganization
• Recompile Netpro
• XML Export (4.5) -> XML Import (4.5)
• XML Export (4.4) -> XML Import (4.5)

No matter what I try, the compile always recompiles the communication settings which triggers a full recompile.

I started playing with a new project. I noticed that the save and recompile communication settings starts happening as soon as a Profisafe Telegram is added to a drive.

Once this telegram is added, the compiler begins to recompile the communication settings every compile.

Is this by design or a bug?

Our real project has profisafe on every drive.

We have strict IP rules at our company I can't publish the project here. But check out my previous post, I think the problem is associated with profisafe.

Attached is my test project. Tried with D445-2 FW 4.4 and 4.5

See attachments for the compiler check output window differences. In a very small project, the difference is not noticeable. But in our large project it takes minimum 1 minute to compile every time, even with nothing was changed. (It took 5 seconds in 4.4)

Note our project also has two controllers with Profinet IRT enabled. Maybe this is why you don't see it?

I think the problem is easier to see on large projects. I increased the axis counts on the test project.

Please compile the project a couple of times. You'll see it will compile in less than 5 seconds with no changes.

Then simply add the profisafe telegram to D445->Sinamics_integrated->Drive_1. Recompile 2 or 3 times.

You'll see that every compile goes triggers a HW config recompile, then resync of all addresses to the project. It takes 30-40 seconds to complete. No matter how many times I compile, this happens.

If I remove the profisafe telegram and recompile a few times, the compile goes back to 5 seconds like I would expect.

Hopefully you can see this on your end now,it's not just a simple incorrect message. Also, I'm not even looking at downloading now. This is purely just for compiling the offline project
