simotion tag transfer to PC

Mothilal Posts: 165 Rating: (25)	Hello experts Pls let me know how to transfer the simotion c240 tags to Personal computer with single ethernet cable by TCP_IP functions?I want to access the tags and maintain one database in my system. Is script writting useful to do this task? I have attached thesample simotion file form scout CD...It uses the VB script..ButI dont know how it works and how todo thecorresponding settings in both PLC and PC.. Please help me... Now I could establish the connection between SIMOTION PLC and my PC by VB SCRIPT. But I could not get 'how the VB source code access the simotion "tags"!'. I have attached the connection part codings and VB script codings with this thread.. Please let me know how to interface the SIMOTION program and VB Script codings. How should I access the simotion tags by using script? I have attached the complete simotion sample program in my previous thread.. The TCP/IP communication is BYTE oriented , so you transfer only BYTE data from SIMOTION to PC an no variable,symbols, tags or so! If you will access the tags , symbols an other SIMOTION specific data you can use OPX XML DA to get access to the Data. Regards Chrstoph
