hi Alwin, for Communication between two SIMATIC-Controller I always first have a look in this manual: CPU-CPU Communication with SIMATIC ControllersThere you find out every possibility of communication between them. In your case, S7-300 and S7-400, see page 96. I think the easiest way to communicate in this way is to use PUT/GET with S7-Communication.
