Simultaneous GET FB14 On Seperate Connections

Zeyad_Rashed Regular Member Joined: 10/29/2014 Last visit: 3/29/2022 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hi I have a network configuration as following: 1 x S7-315 2PN/DP as Client 1 x S7-315 2PN/DP as Server 1 x S7-1200 as server Im using step 7 5.5 to manage my communication , I managed to comunicate with the two servers via the client by using the PUT/GET functions block on two seperate connections ,and everything is working well I know that on a single connection a GET cant be called unless the function is not busy, for data consistency. my question is that can the GET function be called simultaniously on each connection or should wait to be freed in one connection so that is may be called in the second? Now Im calling the function simultaneously without problem on both connections, but dont know if the data exchange is consistent? Regards.

Fafner Silver Member Joined: 3/20/2013 Last visit: 3/21/2025 Posts: 676 Rating: (44)	I think the maximum number of GET/PUT blocks depends on the quantity structure of your CPU/CPs. That means I use one GET/PUT for every connection I projected.

Hi Zeyad 315-2 PN/DP supports max of 32 instance of S7 connections, which in turn means theoretically 16 PUT and 16 GET instructions can be run simultaneously. But since only 14 S7 connections are configurable out of 16, it means that all 14 connections can run 14 PUT and 14 GET instructions simulatenous using PN port of 315 PN/DP.
