If your drive have closed-loop speed control, then you need not to do anything, speed controller itself change the torque direction when it is needed. If you have open-loop speed control, then change the torque setpoint to the required sign.

Fuel is applied to the engine. When the engine is running on its own, the motor control switchesto torque control mode. Actual testing begins as the regenerative (braking) unit and DC drive regulates load onthe engine by torque setpoint

Kandil Member Joined: 2/9/2012 Last visit: 8/2/2023 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Dear sir, I'd like to use this to perform engine testing using DC dynamometer Consisting of two DC motors rigidly coupled so i selected SINAMICS DCM with the rated motor capacity and i got one for each motor so i have now two DC drives controlling two DC motors to test diesel engine by applying resistive torque from motors at certain engine speeds so what i need to know clearly now is : * How can i control torque direction so that i can apply resistive torque on the engine ?? * How can i control torque setpoint at that specified direction in order to fullfil the dynamometer application??
