Hello Is there any guideline on selecting the connecting hardware between SINAMICS DCM control module which firing Multiple Thyristor Bridges Connected in Parallel. Also can we use SINAMICS DCM for 12 pulse application as in 6RA70 ( http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/9448785) ? This is an application with a 12 Pulse convertor. with Multible Bridges to be fored by each convertor . We are replacing an existing setup where each existing controller is firing Three Bridges in Parallel. Also how to connect DC Current Feedback from each bridge ( Sensed using a Shunt & DCCT ) Thanks Navnag |

Hello. 12-pulse application of DCM is described in the manual, chapter '10.23 Connecting units in parallel and in series'. Or better look at this manual(SW V1.2), which have parameter list for 12-pulse connection. |

Dear Navnag, first of all: Yes, you can use up to three firing pulse transformers in parallell in the SINAMICS DCM Control Module, same as in 6RA70 Please use the new manual for firmware V1.3 Here is the link: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/55622945 If it is a 4Quadrant solution please use Firmware V1.3 Hotfix 1 (as stated before; it is mandatory to open an official support request, this HF1 is brand new and not downloadable in the internet). Please send Customer Support also a single line and the Starter project. They can help you with workarounds for some known issues, which are not solved in HF1. If you follow these suggestiones it will save you much time and trouble (description in chapter 10.23 of the operating manual referes to the 12 pulse application note. This application note is not in the internet at this time, it is available as a preliminary version in German, translation to English is on its way) Regards frimos |
