Sinamics DCM

jonymas Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Please give advice on the following question. We've bought Sinamics DCM 6RA8031-6DV62-0AA0 and PLC system with S7-1511 CPU for the winder upgrade. So we want to change old drive and PLC to DCM and S7-1500. In actual circuitsto maintain aconstant tension we are using excitation current regulation depending on the diameter. The tension changes byvaryingcurrent of the motor armature (torque). Is it posible to realize such control by DCM 6RA8031-6DV62-0AA0 ? Do we need to buy some additional software or hardware modules?

The download link is the same as already posted, but this download is only visible internal. So your local Siemens contact can download it there and forward it. jonymas Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello TechTeam, I've just phoned to local Siemens (Moskow and Krasnoyarsk) because they still didn't answer to my email request. They told me that we should buy Sinamics DCC but they don't sure in order number. As for DCC Winder application it is a part of Sinamics DCC (like a script). So they told that DCC Winder can't work without SInamics DCC. Am I really should buyDCC to install DCC Winder?

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 12/5/2024 Posts: 5960 Rating: (820)	Hello jonymas, the Sinamics DCC is part of the Starter installation (by using the CFC checkbox) and it must be installed to use the DCC winder application. But if you use the application without change inside the DCC chart itself(just parameterize it in the expert list), you don't need the engineering license. So if you don't want to change functionality of the example or make own DCC charts, you don't need to buy a DCC license. Beside that, the DCC winder is not part of the DCC license package, it is an application example, providing a DCC chart for winder functionality, which can be imported to CU3x0-2 or DCM and compiled without DCC engineering license (means in this case you can only use the provided parameters and function diagrams, but you can not open the charts except using the 14 days trial license). If your local contact is not familar how to get the example project, he should contact us by the email adress shown in our profile for further support.
