Sinamics G120 comms to PLC

We have a S7-400 PLC system with G120's connected (hardwired, not via DP). When these drives trip, with VSD fault, my customer wants this info ie. the trip/fault/alarm detail. He wants me to investigate the method to collect this info from the drives and log it within the PLC and ultimately the WinCC. The G120's from what I can see have a CU240E-2DP connected and a IOP. Is there anyway I can communicate via the PLC to these drives and collect the alarm history information? Regards Philip

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 11/29/2023 Posts: 21946 Rating: (2927)	Hello, which WinCC do you use? you can read the fault and warnings with RDREC from the drive to the plc, the numbers store in the drive parameters. With WinCCflexible you can read the fault/Warning directly from the drive an display the complete messagetext . Regards Christoph
