SINAMICS G120 with Common DC Bus

Hello All

Some of the G120 Catalogues do mention use of Common DC Bus.

Although this functionality is not clearly mentioned in any of the Manuals ( That I could find )

However, I have seen several installations working where SINAMICS G120 drives ( and MM440 Drives ) have been installed with Common DC link. We plan to use this functionality in one of our projects ( Due to cost constraints )

The question is What protections should be considered when connecting 2 or more SINAMICS G120 PM240 or 240-2 on Common DC link. ( Connecting the DC Terminals Together ).

Is there any manual available which gives more details.

I am sharing the reply that I received from A&D Support for the same query :

No specific design specifications required but individual modules to be protected with semiconductor fuse on DC bus .

Please check the link below which gives fuse rating on line side , you need to select a rating higher fuce for DC bus application .

Does not convey much ... but still at least it confirms that we can connect the G120 drives on a common DC Link.

Anyone has more information on this topic ... would be grateful if you can share the same.
