Hi, The SINAMICS G120X is not fully integrated into TIA or STARTER. The integration of the G120X device series in TIA is deliberately implemented via GSDML file (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109763250). Notes on commissioning can be found in the SINAMICS G120X operating instructions in section "5 Commissioning": https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109766682 In general, commissioning can be carried out via the following access routes: 1. Operator Panel BOP (Basic) or IOP-2 (Intelligent) An operator panel is used for the commissioning, diagnostics and control of the converter, as well as for saving and transferring the converter settings. For commissioning, I recommend the IOP-2, as it has a high-contrast color display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Commissioning can be carried out quickly and intuitively with an IOP-2. Operating instructions for Intelligent Operator Panel 2 (IOP-2) https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109767180 2. Optional Smart Access Module (WLAN) with web server 3. SIMATIC Process Device Manager software (SIMATIC PDM) via FDI Device Package https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109766204 This method is rather uninteresting for most G120X customers. As mentioned above, my commissioning experience has shown that the fastest and best results can be achieved by commissioning an IOP-2. Due to its intuitive operation and easy-to-read display, the IOP-2 was the best choice for me. If you are looking for a pump/fan drive that is fully integrated into TIA, I recommend using a SINAMICS G120P. Regards |

New question published by tjrob2 is split to a separate thread with the subject Commissioning a G120X drive into the TIA Porta. Best regards |
