Yurius Experienced Member Joined: 2/8/2018 Last visit: 11/2/2023 Posts: 60 Rating: (2)	Hi guys Doing a Project with G120C PN (never worked Before with siemens drives) I have plenty different manuals but anyway there are some questions I cant found answers in manuals 1. For example there are settings(0,10,11,12) which can be saved on ROM, but what means with that settings? What I could understand it is CDS and DDS settings. Is it right? 2. Memory card. If I want to copy the Project on memory card in TIA should I do the same way like for CPU, I mean choose transfer settings for card and simply drag and drop Project in TIA or it is not correct? 3. According to this "Data storage options for the CU2xy-2 SINAMICS G120 with CU2xy-2" if I insert memory card in to the drive it is only setting 0 which copies automatically. If I want to back up other settings (10,11,12) I should do it manually with P802,803,804? Thanks

Settings 0/10/11/12 are each an independent parameter set and includes the different settings for CDS and DDS of each dataset of your parameterization. So you can configure two different drive parameterizations with independent CDS/DDS settings and store them in a parameter set. Depending on which configuration is requested you can load the corresponding configuration from the ROM. But you have to consider that if you do RAMtoROM the data is saved automatically in parameter set 0. So I would use 10/11/12 for those two different settings. 2. When you save RAMtoROM the setting of parameter set 0 is copied to the memory card automatically. In addition Startdrive is providing additional possibilities which support you here, see attachment. If you want to transfer your Startdrive project to the drive you have to connect to the drive and choose "download to device" to transfer your settings to the drive. 3. You can use p0971 = 1/10/11/12 to store the corresponding data set to the memory card. But because of the many possible combinations working with the memory card you have to use p0802, p0803 and p0804 to select and copy parameters from memory card to ROM. If than I want to create set 10,11 or 12 I can make some Changes online and save them as set 10,11 or 12 to ROM through P0971 or memory card P0803. Is it correct?

Only with RAMtoROM storage the project is saved in setting 0 of the ROM. Using p0971 with inserted memory card the corresponding data of the ROM is transferred to the memory card after copying RAM to ROM was finished. To copy data from ROM to the memory card manually you have to select - p0802 number of target data set on the memory card (i.e. p0802 = 10) - p0803 number of source data of the ROM (i.e. p0803 = 12) - p0804 choose the direction of storage and start the transfer. Set p0802 = 2 to transfer data from ROM to memory card. You can also find some examples in the list manual, see p0804 there. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/de/view/109751315/en

Yurius Experienced Member Joined: 2/8/2018 Last visit: 11/2/2023 Posts: 60 Rating: (2)	Hi again I started configuring my drive and have some doubts I put P340 to 0 (no calculation), P1900/1910/1960 to 1 and most of parameters I can put manually relying on some experience but anyway there are some of them I dont know how to calculate. How would you suggest to do? Put any way P340 >0 and than make some readjustments or? Another question regarding P2178 I cant found it? or it depends on CU which parameters I can see? Thanks

Basically you put in the main motor parameters of the name plate, the rest of the parameters is calculated by the SINAMICS. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/de/view/94003689/en Yes it depends on the CU. You can find information of accessible parameters in the list manual of the corresponding drive.

If you provide the necessary parameters you can choose p0340=3. Otherwise I would use complete calculation and alter single parameters according to your demand. Attachment p0340.PNG (190 Downloads)
