Sinamics S120 Capacitor reforming

Hi all friends,

i have 3 motor module that are connected to a line module, i want reforming DC bus capacitors, so i have some question about "Capacitor forming" in S120 Motor module and Line Module:

i read Siemens manual but it's not so clear for me:

1- according to the attached we must connect the nominal voltage series with 100 ohm resistor to " MOTOR Terminal"! it is not dangerous for motor module?

2- we have to connect nominal voltage or we must increase voltage slowly with a period time???

3- if we must connect nominal voltage to motor terminal, how much we must wait to sure forming done completely?

4- at first step we must do forming for motor module or Line module? or we can do both at the same time? if yes please explain for me to know how is the input supply and CU situation

In the attached PDF, it tells you what must be done at a little higher level in "Procedure in the event of repair or replacement".

(once you achieve rated voltage, at least 30 minutes unloaded)

Where did you read 100Ω?  I see 3 x 1kΩ (rated 100W) for 400V line modules.

The second sentence in the procedure is pretty clear.  Rated voltage without load for 30 minutes.

What procedure applies?  Integrated in the system with interface, line and motor module?  Or outside the drive line-up?

Are you simply trying to keep a spare component immediately ready after swapping rather than requiring a 30 minute reforming after swapping?

you are right, 100k ohm. i made a mistake in writing. 

we want to forming dc capacitor when the LINE & Motor Module installed in cubicle (1 Line module with 3 motor module).

i worry about applying nominal voltage in MOTOR TERMINAL side, and second item is that if we can connect LINE MODULE and MOTOR Module together when i do Capacitor forming?

It is unfortunate your S120 manual is not translated to your native language because all your answers are given quite simply in the PDF you originally attached.

In simple terms, the short 3 sentence section is all you need to think about.  None of that resistor and lamp business matters for you because your Line Module is connected to 3 motor modules and installed as a system already.

Whatever controls you have for running the drive, set them up so the motor modules cannot receive a run command for at least 30 minutes after the line module is connected to mains voltage.

That's all it says to do in those 3 sentences.

Turn on the Line Module, but do not enable the motor modules.  Wait 30 minutes and you can run the motor modules.
