i have a problem can you help me please i make basic positioner with s120 cu 310 dp and i control them with plc..

i give on/off unless there arent any fault so if a fault is occured the drive stops and fall in to fault and i reset fault and give on/off again it starts from begining of set position value..

for ex: let say i set 1000 mm value and it begins to go then whwn it arrives to 700mm i break on/off it fall into fault and i reset fault then i give again on/off it begin from 0 mm and goes 1000mm again..

i think i dont have to cut on/off but is there any altenetive that i dont cut on/off but stop drive and after reseting fault it goes from where it has stopped..

please help me

Hello,

it is not a normal behavior, that the drive has errors within the positioning - you should eliminate the cause of your problem.
I think, you use the relative positioning - because with absolute positioning this would not be a problem (when the error occurs at 700 mm and you would do an absolute positioning to 1000mm, you would stop at 1000mm and not at 1700mm).

So I would see the following possiblities:
1. Try to eliminate the errors - maybe you can set the fault response p2100 / p2101 = NONE
2. Maybe you can check r2682 (Residual distance)or r2521 (actual position)and do a reduced positioning after error.
3. You work with absolute positioning. If neccessary you can set the reference point = 0 before positioning
a) p2640 = 0 signal (intermediate stop).
b) p2596 = 0 --> 1 --> 0 BI: EPOS set reference point / Set ref_pt (set position = 0)
c) p2640 = 1 signal (intermediate stop) and start the absolute positioning
