sie-enauto Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	Dear experts I got problem when I tried to online CU320-2PN via onborad Ethernet Port X120 with STARTER Software. The Starter already deltect the CU but with a question mark (?) symbol. I thought that the firmware installed on my Starter Software did not install but when I check devices installed with Starter so see all of devices firmware already installed. I attached two capture here for referencing so could you please help to sole my problem. and also another question, how to know the firmware installed is correct Thank you very much. You can try the following: Set the PG/PC Interface to TCP/IP without Auto configure on the used Networkinterface in the VM a IP in the same Subnet like the CU320 start accessible Nodes again On the CF Card in th CU320-2 PN is a file "content.txt" here you can show which FW CVersion is on the card Regards Christoph

When I tried access node, it's only failure connection and the access node only question mark as the capture. So you mean i can check firmware of CU via the file name "content.txt" but where is it located. I can not take out the FC card because the control unit is working Thank you

You can check if the webServer is enabled (open Internet browser and type the IP of the CU in the adressfield) Other wy you can try: open Simatic Manager and starte accessible nodes if CU is found open the device diagnostic and property of the node an show if this works. regards Christoph

Onething, why it detected CU but with a question mark? but in my starter already show firmware fron 2.6 .. to 4.7? Best regards Sie-auto

Can you ping the Cu without any problemms in the cmd Shell ? Have you configured you Ethenet card in Windows with the same Subnet like the CU? Regards Christoph

Regards Christoph Dear Mr. Christoph I already check and config yet. you can see at the attached file, I already change IP address of CU from default "169.254.11.22" to 192.168.1.220 and check mac address the same with CU. Accessible Nodes work on MAC based an list each device which is found white the ip and some other data, but this is no a online connection! the onlineconnection is stablished with IP protokol and for this the IP from the PC must be in the same range like the ip of the devices which are found. with the Setting (AUTO) in PG/PC you have no control if this is done, so you should manual configure the ip on the Network interface in windows and use only TCP/IP without Auto in PG/PC. if a IP connection between PC and device is established then STARTER can read the Type and the FW Version of the devices and displayed it in the life list.
