sinamics s120 gsd file

lulucool Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello, i have to commission s120 with PM340 and CU310DP for a two axis positioning control. The siemens documentation talks about positioning telegrams: standard telegram 7 and siemens telegram 110. My problem is that i couldn't find the gsd file with these telegrams. I looked at this link given in the siemens documentation http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/113204. The gsd file si0280e5 has a date 09/05 and documentation is earlier. Do you know where i could find it. Thank you for your help

miguel-on Advanced Member Joined: 12/19/2006 Last visit: 9/16/2024 Posts: 22 Rating: (2)	Hi all, I've downloaded this last attachment, but when I install these GSD files, no "telegram 110" is included in SINAMICS S folder within components library of HW-Configurator. Maybe this fact is related to STEP 7 version (I have an 5.4.0.0 version of S7 Manager) but I didn't find any statement about this, and in means of compatibility with old devices, I'd wish not to upgrade my Simatic Manager version. Could I get this telegram into my project without upgrading STEP 7, or should I configure a "Universal module" for this purpose? Thanks in advance, Miguel Ángel Morales

As you can see, telegram 110 is not included in it, but I installed the GSD files mentioned above. I guess it has something to do with STEP 7 version, otherwise I cannot explain this fact. Dave Posts: 271 Rating: (29)	Greetings, We were working with the S120 Toolbox V1.2 that is available for download via Product Support pages and we found that the settings for Telegram 110 were not available in STEP 7. However, I had previously loaded the Sinumerik 840DSLToolbox and it was included in my STEP 7 Hardware Cofigurator catalog. Actually you can select various types of telegrams once you at a SINAMICS S120 drive to your hardware configuration. We sent a Support Request to the Hotline and they send us a new GSD file which has not been posted as yet and this worked okay. Hope this helps...
