SINAMICS S120 'Locked bit'

naveen_paliwal Bronze Member Joined: 4/25/2011 Last visit: 1/27/2023 Posts: 127 Rating: (5)	Dear Expert's We have two Sinamics S120 VFD's , one is for Bridge movement and other one is for Hoist movement. In VFD 2(hoist) we are facing problem in almost every cycle at particular position. When hoist down approximate 70% suddenly it stopped for 1 or 2 second and Locked bit comes for same time. After 2 sec it automatically goes and hoist comes down as per logic. When it happens VFD doesn't show any Alarm or Warning. We didn't make any changes in VFD or PLC logic. it happens from last 1month. I checked in Starter and found when problem comes,suddenly'OC/OFF2 active' bit changes from 1 to 0 and 'Switching ON inhibit' bit changes from 0 to 1' for 2 sec. Thanks and Regard's

Does the hoist motor has external encoder for speed feedback? Are the couplings between motor & encoder is perfect? Please ensure that there is no any sleepage.
