Sinamics S120 Smart Line Module

Dear All,

I want to check SLM 6SL3130-6TE23-6AA3 without any other module connected.

I have supplied three phase to the inputs and bus bar showing volts around 550V DC

but its RDY and DC LINK indications are off. can anyone tell me what may be the reason?

What you are trying to do is not how Siemens expects a SLM tested.  They expect it to be wired per their reference wiring diagram, adjusted to meet your project requirements, and tested as a complete unit.

You can then use the CU3x0 to control the SLM, and with a PLC, you can set up a telegram to control the SLM and enable it.

If you inspect the wiring and it matches design and the design is appropriate and closely (if not identically) matches the reference wiring diagram in the SLM manual, you will be happy with how it performs.

Without DriveCliq and a CU3x0, you may never see those LEDs behave the way you seem intent on observing.

Thank you for the correction.  I'm using an ALM on a large project at the moment and considered testing the modules independently, but the wiring was so intertwined, I opted to commission as a complete entity.

I did not know how their SLM was currently wired or integrated which is why I said "may" never.  That said, it is really good to know those LEDs are "dumb" and simply reflect control voltage is available.  I had it stuck in my head about the RDY LED on the CU.

 this is not correct.

The SLM also the ALM can operate complete without DQ and CU Connection.
I use this very often for little test in your testroom, the led are on if the 24V Powersuppy is connected and powered.

there is no X24. X21 is there. I have connected 24V across 3 and 4 of X21

DC volts are 550v dc but still RDY and DC LINK are OFF
