Sinamics S120: speed controller inhibit (= bit 30) using STARTER

niels hendrickx Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi there, I am a student currently working on a project for my thesis(?), so this is my first time coming in contact with both Sinamics and Starter... I'm (still) having trouble getting my servo to run. I've been trying using the control panel in STARTER So, I turn on the enables, enter a speed (rpm) and I can press the ON button and (sometimes) I can hear the motor module reacting, but the servo does not start, other times I get an error message with "switch on of the drive inhibited" (or something like it) and I have to acknowledge a fault so I can try again. When I check with diagnostics I can see Missing : bit 30 : speed controller inhibit and I don't know how to / can't get rid of it... I am working with a Sinamics S120 CU 320 Smart Line Module(without CLiQ interface) Double Motor Module a servo with a CliQ interface Could my problem have anything to do with the fact that only one servo is attached to the double motor module (if so how do I configure the servo that isn't there?) -I have used the automatic configuration to set up the configuration of my system... -I can see the voltage sent to the servo changing in the control panel -If I turn the servo manually I can see the encoder value changing in the STARTER Does anyone know what the problem is and/or how to solve it? niels hendrickx Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the quick reply, Infeed ready is ok, we've linked it with the BICO connections and it doesn't show up as an error anywhere but I'll check the error messages and if possible get some screenshots... Edit, we've managed to get the servo turning... Turns out the students who set up the drive before us made a mistake in the connections. Now we need a way to integrate the sinamics into the STEP7 programs were using, but the only thing we can select in the HW-config is a standard Sinamics S120. How do we know wich PZD to use so we can: -turn the servo on/off -enter the rpm -jog -read the position And how do I implement these into Step7 and Starter programs? Srry for being so needy ;) but I've never had any sort of instructions about this so I' learning while I'm doing. Once again: thanks in advance, Niels Hendrickx
