Can SinamicsG120X be used for pumps that transport oil? |

Is this in a EX (explosive area)? If so then the combination of Motor and drive must be certified as an EX certified combination. All this can be certified by Siemens motors and drives. Tractor |

The drive will stand in a non-explosive area. Change G120 to G120X. This drive costs less than G120. |

The motor will be certified for the environment in which it is working, the drive and motor will need certification as a combined system. Drive manufacturers certify the motor / drive combination for EX environment’s, if this cannot be done, the application on site will require certification, which will be a bit more costly. Here I mean that if the motor and drive are from different manufacturers. It is the motor in this case which dictates the EX drive system, refer to the motor manufacturer for a drive which it has certified. Output reactors will be required, as will motor PTC and an independent PTC monitor, it is not possible to use the Drive monitoring for the PTC. Tractor |
