hi everyone, please find the attached automation architecture for one of our project. we are trying to make a configuration that will allow automatic switch between adsl network and gprs network. in order to comply this application we have used tim 4R- ie module in the central station and in other staions. however i am not sure about how to use scalance s612 switches. Should we use it only in central station or in all stations? what happens if we don't use it in any station? please give me your opinion about the architecture, inform me about if the configuration is proper for our aim and which licences do we have in central station. best regards Attachmentautomation architecture.pdf (76 Downloads) |

Hello rickandroll, About the S612 it is used to security network requirements, take a look atthe link bellow: https://www.automation.siemens.com/mcms/industrial-communication/en/ie/industrial-ethernet-security/scalance-s/Pages/scalance-s.aspx About your architecture I recomend you contact a regional support center of siemens, they can discuss with you about your solution and indicate the licenses that you have to use for your central station. |
