SolutionFinder If u want to use same module as sink or source then go for s7 200 plc system. I do not agree with you as Siemens have this possibility in ET-200M. Please have a look on DI64 and DO64 for Source / Sink connection for both of them. SIMATIC S7-300 S7-300 Module data Hope this helps.
