Hello DLuna_GDL Step 7 quite rightly complains, as the GSD file does NOT complywith the GSD file rules and has the following "errors": Row 41,42 & 43: Thebitmap file names are longer than 8 characters Row 101:The GSD file claims to berevision 3 compliant, but misses the then mandatory "Module_Reference" declarations inside the Module definition. On top of that, the last 4 characters of the GSD file name itself (1H0A) should be the ID number of the device (1810), which they aren't. All up, I wouldn't trust this GSD file and suggest you get in touch with thesupplier of it. It is his "job" to provide a compliant GSD file for his device and ideally also has it certified byProfibus International (note that Device/GSD file certification is unfortunately not mandatory for Profibus devices). Truth be told, I am a bit surpised by this, as HMS is mentioned as the author and the guys from HMS tend to know what they are doing in the world of fieldbuses, perhaps this is just a "corrupted" or wrong version of the GSD file. I hope this helps P.S: If you are a member of PI you can get a free copy of their GSDEditor which helps with the evaluation of GSD files. |
