Sinumerik 810T feed rate override problem

CNMG Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	I have a Sinumerik 810T GA1 equipped lathe that has a weird problem with the feed rate over ride rotary switch. If you rotate it you can change the feed rate from 120% (max) to 0% (min) everything is normal except when the rotary switch is in the position that would correspond to 6%. At that position the control jumps to 150% feed rate. This is really scary and dangerous. What is the location of the setting data for that switch? I’d like to check first that the switch is returning the proper signal. FWIW I have disassembled and cleaned the switch twice, aligned the wipers inside so they follow their traces properly and re soldered all the connections and it still does the 150% thing so I'm now looking at the control. The machine has done this since I've have owned it so this is nothing new but I think it's time to fix it.

Sanjoy 4m India Posts: 55 Rating: (2)	for the feed rotary switch, one byte is dedicated in PLC input. Right now, sorry, can't recall the address. I think you can find it from PLC status display. from 0% to 120% it is gray code binary address. Please check PLC status foreach and every position when m/c is okay. Again compare when feed automatically jump to 150%. Please revert back .... Regards /
