Sinumerik 810T GA3 Programming issue

Mariusz.Pianka Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello to all, I've been given a task that is way over my head. I have Sinumerik 810T GA3 PLC machine. It was disconnected off the power for too long and battery has gone flat and it lost it's hmm OS ? Forgive my ignorance but I was asked by an operator to upload some files but I have to idea how to even start. From what I gathered I need PCIN software so I downloaded PCIN 4.2 version is that good ? I also received necessary files from Siemens to upload. Its a DB25 RS232 connector at front of the panel, so I got a CABLE and DB25 to DB9 converter Connected a laptop and opened PCIN , power cycled a machine, tried to pull something off, or upload but it doesn't seem to work. How Could I actually test that at least I communicate with this machine ? I did not know what COM port configuration settings I should choose... I found in manual that it should be 9600 2 7 parity odd Would anyone here could assist me ideally over the phone to get the files back on to the machine ? We can agree on some fair price for that.

You need to set this Communication setting paramaeters. > In your laptop set this settings in PCIN EVEN PARITY, 2 STOP BITS,7 DATA BITS,4800 BAUD RATE,DISPLAY ON,DIRECTORY ON,CANCEL OFF,FILE OPT OFF,END_W_M30 OFF,ETX OFF,BINFILE OFF In810GA3 you need to set this settings 5011-11000110 5013-11000110 5010-00000100 (IN CASE OF PLC-PROG ,S5 ONLY) 5012-00000100 (IN CASE OF PLC-PROG ,S5 ONLY) Check it out...... bye/ Ekalavya

However, don't know where to put In810GA3 you need to set this settings 5011-11000110 5013-11000110 5010-00000100 (IN CASE OF PLC-PROG ,S5 ONLY) 5012-00000100 (IN CASE OF PLC-PROG ,S5 ONLY) is this on the machine it self ? I'll ask the operator to do that, but I thought the machine doesn't not respond really, it just displays something in German about Battery as well as that , could you tell me if I need to run it from DOS ? I have pretty new computer and windows xp , and I know from experience that sometimes the machine is "too fast" or too new and it won't communicate.

Hi... >You need to enter this details in Setting Data... > No need to run it in DOS ,you run PCIN.exe File from your desktop. > I am attaching you the document which is already published in our technical fourm.
