Sinumerik 840D CNU Module Problem

Problem of my system is my PCU 50 (Control Panel) can hardly boot up/communicate to CNU/PLC. After dumping files stage it would hang (for administrator)&can't continue in booting up. At the back of the PLC cabinet, the CNU 7-Segment display at "9" andthe PLC LEDs all lit up. The Simodrive digital module also light up its LED to RED. While the ProfiBus will blink and displayed "6F". Hoping to hear your response in getting my CNC system up and running. Thanks & Best Regards, william

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 1/21/2025 Posts: 4155 Rating: (363)	Hi,it seems your NCU card defectived.If you have all data back-up you can try like that: 1) take a same NCU card from another machine (the configuration should be same), insert in NCU box and try to power up.If you PCU50 is good your M/C should be OK. (the good card will not lose any data when you do this whthin 1 hour.But be sure making backup your good M/C before you do any test) 2) if you know how to generalreset NCK/PLC try to do *with you NCU which has problem*. if it still display "9" that means your NCU card defectived and need to repare.
