Sinumerik 840D - PCU 50 rebooting by itself

atupaz Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I have a 840D System with a PCU 50. The Machine Operator is reporting that the machine would just reboot by itself while on standby or when the machine is running. This would happen about 3-5 times a day in the past two weeks. Would this possibly be an issue with the PCU 50 Unit and/or the Hard-Drive? Any ideas?

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (57)	Hi, Is just the pcu50 rebooting or the whole machine ?. If just the pcu50 I would start with the simple things like the supply voltage dipping low.

Guru Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi, Pl check the PCU as per Pee Ell Seaand RAM gudlines. Some time I have observed that the problem could be with FLAT ribbon cable which connects HDD and PCU.
