Siprotec 4 Profibus DP problem

_spak Posts: 55 Rating: (0)	Hi, I want to connect 2 Siprotec 4 7SJ61 relays besides other devices to S7-1200(CM 1243-5). I have total of 11 slaves connected toCM 1243-5 and 9 of them working fine, but two siprotec relays for some reason refuses to work. When they connected in relay i can see that their status every 2 or so seconds changing fromDATA_EXCHG toPRM_REQ mode and vise versa. I also see master address, baud rate, hardware revision, mapping file loaded and some other info. According to siprotec profibus manual: DATA_EXCHG - PROFIBUS-DP master and slave are in DATA_EXCHANGE mode. PRM_REQ - the PROFIBUS-DP slave was addressed by the master before but is now no more addressed (parameter change at the master without connection break or PROFIBUS-DP master software is disabled but lower PROFIBUS layer is still active). S7-1200 is configured with TIA portal and Siprotec relays are configured with DIGSI. Relays are the last 2 nodes on the bus (total cable length is ~60m, comm speed 1.5mB/sec). Intresting thing that when i switch off terminating resistors on last relay(profibus connector) relays are constatly in data exchange mode, but all other slaves go offline.

_spak Posts: 55 Rating: (0)	MLFB: 7SJ61166EB901FB0+L0A Standart mapping 3-4 Input: 16 bytes Input: 12 bytes Output: 2 bytes I downlowded GDS from here: http://siemens.siprotec.de/download_neu/devices/1_General/Doku_Protokolle/Englisch/Profibus%20DP/Profibus_DP_GSD-File/Profibus_DP_GSD_V03.00.exe and i use SI1_80A1.gsd (hardware revison 4)

Do you have any status of buserror (BF LED) on the CPU, on the relays? If you do, have you opened the diagnostic buffer of the CPU, to find out what the PLC is complaining about on the communication setup? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

On CM1243-5 i have DIAG led red flashing, RUN/STOP green steady, ERROR led red flashing dchartier If you do, have you opened the diagnostic buffer of the CPU, to find out what the PLC is complaining about on the communication setup? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier If I configure relays input/output as universal module 28/2 bytes in diagnostic buffer I see alternating messages "Module exists. OK" and "Not reachable" If configure relays as Input 16, input 12 and output 2 bytes in between mentioned messages i get message "There are differences between the inserted module and the module configured in project. The module does not exists on line".
