Siwarex CS Calilbration

Gabriel.Medeiros Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I am having problems with a calibration for a Siwarex CS System. I have a bin with 3 load cells of 10t each. I am using the siwatool and doing a Theoret. Calibration, inserting the sum of load (30000) and the carachteristic values of 2 mV. A also changethe Wheighing range to 30000.After this I do a Zeoring. But this procedure is not working. I checked the mechanical interferiences but it seems ok. Can any one help me?

The characteristic value (1mV/V, 2mV/V or 4mV/V) must be defined in the "Calibration" tab of the DR3. 2. Switch to "Theoret. Calib." tab. 3. Insert the sum of load (30000) 4. Insert the “Zero offset in μV/V” and the “Characteristic value” (unit mV/V)for each individual load cells. 5. Press the button "Calculate adj. Digits". 6. Press the button "Accept calculation" 7. Press the button "Send" (The DR3 with the new adjustment data is sent to the CS module.) 8. Press the button “->0<-” (for Zeroing), if the scale is empty. Please let me know, if you have still problems with the Theoret. Calibration. Best regards Siwarexi

Gabriel.Medeiros Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello, I already try this procedure and is not working. I am using 0 for this zero in uV for each load cell. What is really this value? Is there another way to calibrate or another procedure to execute? Thanks for the help.

Siwarexi Gold Expert Joined: 1/4/2007 Last visit: 12/5/2024 Posts: 1153 Rating: (175)	Hello Gabriel.Medeiros, The parameter “Zero offset in uV/V” means, if you connect a totally unloaded load cell to a power supply, the measurement signal of theload cell is not absolutely 0 mV. The difference to 0 mV is the parameter“Zero offset in uV/V” (unit: uV/V). You can see this value into the test certificate of the individual load cells. If you have no test certificates of the load cells, choose the value “0”. You have to set the parameter “Characteristic value” with the data of the test certificates of the individual load cells. If you have no test certificates of the load cells, choose the default-value of the load cells, normally it is 1, 2 or 4 mV/V. Which “Characteristic value” has your load cells? Gabriel.Medeiros Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello Siwarexi, My load cells are 2 mV/V, and I am using0 for off set. 3 load cells of 10t each. I did the " theor. calibation" but I am still having diference. If I put 500 kg I get 530kg, and if I put 1000kg I get 1060. I did not find a way to do a fine adjustment. Do you have any ideia? Attached is te CS file I am using. Thanks. Set the parameter “Adj. digits 1” (DR3 into Siwatool) to 32795 (32795= (60101–5488)/2+5488. => We are using now half of the digit value) 2. Set the parameter “Adj. weight 1” (DR3 into Siwatool) to 15000 (=> We are using now half of the adjustment weight) 3. Click the “Send”-Button 4. The weight value is the same, you see no changes. 5. Click the “Receive”-Button and control the changed parameters “Adj. digits 1” and “Adj. weight 1”. You have to see the new values still into Siwatool. 6. Be sure, that the bin is empty. 7. Click the button for the “Service and adjustment commands” and execute the command “Characteristic curve shift (15)” into Siwatool. (If you don’t see this command, ask for a Siwatool CS update to: siwarex.hotline.aud@siemens.com) 8. Click the “Receive”-Button. (You will see that the digit values are changed. This is ok!) 9. Put 1000 kg (or 500 kg) on the scale. 10. Increase the parameter “Adj. digits 1” with +1000 (e.g. from 40000 to 41000). 11. Click the “Send”-Button. (The weight value is now changing a little bit) 12. Set the parameter “Adj. digits 1” to that value, so you can see 1000 kg (or 500 kg) into Siwatool. 13. Control the scale with 500 kg (or 1000 kg). If you have any problems with this procedure, you can restore your original parameters into the Siwarex CS module by sending all parameters from your backup Siwatool file to the Siwarex CS module. That means, you have no risks by trying this procedure. Best regards Siwarexi
