Siwarex FTA FB31 and FB41 specifications

JGregorio Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, It's my first time writting here, so if I do somthing wrong, please let me know. I'm working with Siwarex FTA, under a CPU-319 and Step 7 V5.5. Within the Siwarex CD I have found the sample project with the S7 Program and the WinCC Flexible Project. I have also found the Siwarex Device Manual. The big trouble is: I can't find the functional specifications of FB31 (Device_Siwarex_Fta) and FB41 (Sft). By now, I need to know what does the bDevAutoState Code mean (DB41.DBB16 from the sample project). I'd like to assemble a table with all the available states fo the device. I know I'll need more information about the other variables during my sw development. Does anybody have, or know where I can find, a material with the FB31 and FB41 features? In the actual GettingStarted project http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/25296061there is no. FB31 in thid project. I don't know what for it is and how it works. Regards ABenno

I've already read the Device Manual, chapter 8, with the FB41 usage instructions, but I still think there should be a little bit more of information, mainly about the variables within its DB. I don't know if there's such a documentation like this, but I found it better to ask, prior to give up looking for it. About FB31: its name's Device_Siwarex_Fta. The name of the project wich holds this block is Msq66. I think it comes with the Siwarex's CD. There's also a WinCC Flexible within this project (just to describe the project a little more). If you have more information about this second block it'd be helpful! Thanks for your reply. Best regards, JGregorio

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hello JGregorio, please excuse, I didn't get it at the beginning, you are talking about the Multifill package. This project was made for small batch applications. The FB31 is the block that handles the communication between the batch processand the Siwarex FTA FB41. In the manual of the Multifill package page 5-19 you find the internal function of theFB31. The manual you find here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/18713925 Normally it is not necessary to knowhow the FB's work in internally. Roughly the function of the project is as follow: - If the batch is started, - the TaskManager (TM, FC40)is looking for a recipie line (in DB31,Db_Task_Act_List)that is not finished, - the TM is lookingif the device (mostly a scale) for this line is free, - if the device is free the TM will load the Set point and the material parameters - with these parameters the TM will start the device - if the device has finished the TM will finish the recipe line. - if all line are finished the TM will finish the batch process.
