Siwarex FTC for Loss in Weighing Feeder

Dear All,
In one of my project, i am going to use Siwarex FTC Part no 7MH4900-3AA01.
The application is Loss in Weighing Feeder.
Following are my doubts about FTC Module.

1)Is it possible to Check Siwarex FTC Functionality by applying mv from Source instead of Actual Load cell Signal.So that we can have better idea about Siwarex FTC at our works.

2)we dont have load cell signal with us so is there any way we can check Siwarex FTC by using Siwatool Software

3)There are onborad DI,DO,Counter Signal and AO in siwarex FTC.

A.Screw Feeder Encoder Signal can i connect in counter signal or else i have to use FM350-1 For encoder Signal.

B.Set point to Screw Feeder will go from onborad AO or i have to use AO Module Separetly.

C.How to Calculate Actual Feedrate from Screw Feeder RPM and Weight Signal.Can i get actual Feedrate from Siwarex FTC directly?

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hello Amit, to you questions: 1) It is possible to check the functionalyty of the Siwarex FTC without load cells. You can set the Siwarex FTC in simulation mode. With this you can simulate a weight value from PLC or Siwatool. To set the simulation mode active you have to set in Data record 7 S7-Interface/Source for weight simulation to "Weight simulation value of SIMATC/RS232". See also the manual http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26043227chapter 6.13 parmeter SIM_VAL. 2) You can use the full function of the Siwarex FTC also with Siwatool, for the simulation see 1) 3) The Siwarex FTC has 7DI, 8DO and one AO on board. The can only be used for weighing functions. A. The FTC has no input for encoders B. You can use the onboard AO to control the inverter of the feeder. C. The actual feed rate will be calculated by the Siwarex FTC, the feed rate will be only calculated with the weight signal. If it is not possible it will cakculate a substitute value.
