SIWAREX MS in deduction weighing

ivan_euler Posts: 54 Rating: (0)	is it possible to used the siwarex ms in deduction weighing using an s7 200 plc... i will be using 3 pcs. 1000 kg loadcell (connected in paralle) excitation v= 5 to 20 v full scale output is 2.016mv/v i had already used a siwarex m module with a s7 300 cpu and it works but never try using this one.. ill be using it with a tP177 micro touch panel........

Siwarexi Gold Expert Joined: 1/4/2007 Last visit: 12/5/2024 Posts: 1153 Rating: (175)	Dear ivan_euler, The Siwarex MS module is the weighing module for the S7-200 system, like the Siwarex M modulefor the S7-300 system. You can connect your 3 pcs. of load cells in parallel, and afterwards you can connect these load cells to one Siwarex MS module, if the input resistance of all load cells is higher than 40 Ohm. You can calculate the input resistance with the following formula: input resistance = (input resistance of one load cell) / (number of load cells) You can find the “input resistance of one load cell” into the technical data sheet of the load cells. For example: The input resistance of one load cell is 1000 Ohm input resistance = 1000 Ohm / 3 = 333,33 Ohm > 40 Ohm => OK The other technical data: excitation v= 5 to 20 v full scale output is 2.016mv/v are OK for the Siwarex MS module.
