siwarex setup trouble

greenengineer Posts: 30 Rating: (2)	Good day all I'm having trouble with the siwarex system? I have S7-200 CPU 226 DC/DC/DC & SIWAREX MS & TP177 MICRO also LOAD CELL (RS206-0290) I cannot get the MS unit to com with plc or pc? Would anyone have a simple progran i could load? loadcell conected to a hopper with 2 powder feeds and 1 water feed Q1-Q2-Q3 need to set powder weight on screen eg 90Kg on feed 1 or 2 then the plc to work out that water Q3 needed 29% water to be measured by a flow sensor 4.5-24VDC pulsed output(RS395-6861) % of water would be changable on a password protected screen? I was hoping that using the MS unit would have been simlar to using a thep unit and the lad at SIEMENS that I delt with has left and I cannot find someone that is willing to help? Hope someone could help me as the prodject needs to be running soon and it seems I'v bitten off more than I deal with? Many thanks

Siwarexi Gold Expert Joined: 1/4/2007 Last visit: 12/5/2024 Posts: 1153 Rating: (175)	Hello grimreaper, To communicate with the Siwarex MS module, you need the configuration package CD with the order number: 7MH4930-0AK01. On that configuration package CD, you can find the Siwatool software to communicate between the Siwarex MS module and a PC. You can download the Siwatool-Demoversion by logging on to: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22601567 Also you can find on that configuration package CD two libraries, which you have to link to the MicroWIN software. There exist a Step7 example program ("Getting_Started_CPU222_TD100C.zip")into the internet for the Siwarex MS module: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22605342 Also I recommend to you to read the chapter 8 (=Communication with Step7) of the manual of the Siwarex MS module. greenengineer Posts: 30 Rating: (2)	Many thanks for reply these sample programs seem very complicated I was hoping for a simple weighing program I'm gor a load cell on a hopper and a powder feed feeding hopper? so press start run feed till hopper load cell reaches 90Kg stop feed? I was led to beleave this was a simple task ? It's a pity that Siemens has stopped onsite help and support in my area? as it used to be the best support of any company that I used and was why I started updating our systems to Siemens? Open for example the project “Getting_Started_CPU222_TD100C_20081204.mwp”. Start at first by using onlythe first network: The library “MicroScale_V20” into the first network is needed for the communication between the Siwarex MS module and Step7. Try to establish the communication between the Siwarex MS module and Step7. Your steps to do thishave to be: 1. Find out the I/O-start-addresses of the Siwarex MS module in your S7-system. (See also the chapter 8.2, Figure 8-3,of the Siwarex MS manual.) 2. Switch off the analogue input filters of the addresses, which the Siwarex MS module has. (See also the chapter 8.2, Figure 8-1 and 8-2,of the Siwarex MS manual.) 3. Set the parameter “First_AEW” of the Input-start-address. Set the parameters “Second_AEW” up to “Fourth_AEW” to the following Input-addresses. 4. Set the parameter “First_AAW” of the Output-start-address. Set the parameters “Second_AAW” up to “Fourth_AAW” to the following Output-addresses. 5. Set the other parameter as used into the example project. Now you can see at the address “VW2002” a weight value of your scale. If you have problems with the parameters of the library “MicroScale_V20”, please contact me again. Best regards Siwarexi
