SIWAREX & SIWATOOL

Hello caki3000,

Well, you don’t need the Siwatool software and the Siwatool cable.

(The Siwatool cable is a normal patch cable.)

You have full access from the PLC (or HMI-panel) to the Siwarex module.

But I recommend you the Siwatool software.

The advantage is:

Into the Siwatool software you can see all parameter settings and error messages of the Siwarex module.

Also you can create a backup-file with the parameter settings after the commissioning.

Such a file can be important, if someone is changing the parameters or the module got damaged.

If a Siwarex module got damaged you can exchange that module with a new module and download the parameter settings from the stored Siwatool-file to the new module.

A new commissioning would be not necessary in such a case.
