SIWAREX WP231 applications

Hi there, 

I was referring to the manual/specifications of the Siwarex WP231 weighing module where i came across this statement: The following are typical SIWAREX WP231 applications: Non-automatic weighing machines. 

I would like to know here on what does the statement mean. (Is that meaning i cannot use it for automatic weighing machines?

I was thinking of using SIWAREX WP231 for an application: Automatic 50kg bag filling machine.

Can i use SIWAREX WP231 for the application that i have mentioned above?

Please advise.

Hi Karthikk,

the WP231 has no functionality to control a dosing process.

It only delivers the weight values and status information's to this.

If you have some time, I might give you some news about this.

As soon as I have information's I will post it here.

Hi Karthikk,

now there is the sales release of the new SIWAREX WP251.

This module is a dosing scale for S7-1200 and stand alone. This module is doing the dosing itself without the help od the CPU. It can use it's own I/O to control the dosing process.
