SIWAREX WP231example

Alex## Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello! At my job I have a task that requires the usage of the WP231 module (with a CPU 1214C) and I have trouble with the examples. I want to be able to configure the parameters in DR3 via KTP600 panel with MODBUS communication. Following the given example I go to service mode (command "1") and type the command 2003 and then the module gives an error 5001 invalid command. Also I don't know how to tell the PLC that I want to configure the parameter "Calibration weight 1" on MODBUS address 1024. Can someone please give me a more detailed example on how to change the parameters in DR3,4,5... ? My configuration is a S7-1200 PLC(1214C DC/DC/DC) with the SIWAREX module and a KTP600 basic mono PN panel.

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hi Alex##, if you use the "Ready for use" project from here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/66825585 Choose the project "MBus_WP231_NAWI_TP700_V209_DE_ENG_FR_TIAV12" If you go to the picture "1.2.4_Quick_Start_Manual_Calibration_1" you can see how to input the calibration weight 1. If you look into the "Press" event of the button with the right arrow, you can see how to transfer the data record 3 (with the calibartion weight 1 inside). I don't know why you got the error message 5001, because the command 2003 is a valid command to read the data record 3 into the buffer of the modbus interface. May be you can send the project, to se how you did it. By the way, basic panels are not allowed to be used with modbus communication and WP231. You should use a comfort panel. Regards ABenno

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hello Alex, unfortunately at the moment it is not possible at the moment. You can only change the calibration weight with Siwatool or with a panel connected via Modbus directly to the WP231. In the future there will be changes in the WP231 and in the function block, so that you can change, amongst others,the calibration weight also via CPU. Regards ABenno

Do I need to buy the siwatool for WP231 ? Maybe there's another solution ? I have the step7 5.5 Prof , WinCC flex 2008 , now tia portal basic

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hi Sliwka, I can imagine that someone can convert the example project of the WP231 to a basic panel, so that you can open it with TIA-Portal Basic.
