Siwarex WP321: DB 321 does not receive any data

I have some questions to you:

1. Are you working with Simatic Manager or TIA Portal?

2. What kind of PLC do you have (S7-300, S7-1500, …)?

3. What is the start-address of your WP321 module?

 Hi, same thing is happening to me:

- 313c-2dp PLC with a siwarex wp321

- I calibrated the siwarex wp321 with siwatool v7 and a rs485 cable with sucess

- Copied the "Ready to use" content on my simatic manager project and configured the start adress on OB1 (260)

The DB 321 does not receive any data, i am not using any HMI and i would like it to be this way. Am i missing something? is there anything else that should be done when not using an HMI?

Hello watersd,

What I found out to your issue:

1.

The Input address and Output address of your WP321 module has to be in the process image of your PLC.

The factory setting of the process image of the CPU 313C-2 DP is set to 128 Byte.

But your WP321 module has the start address of 260!

Therefore, check the process image of your PLC, please.

Maybe you have to increase the process image of your PLC, so that all 16 Bytes of the WP321 module are inside of the process image.

Which order number has your white BaseUnit?

 Thanks siwarexi! i moved the 16bytes of the wp321 inside of the process image and the DB321 is receiving data!

Now  I can use  ""DB_SCALE_WP321".s_IO_DATA.PROCESS_VAL_1"  for my weighting device.
