Slide-in screen problem with on-screen keyboard

Dear experts,

Introduction:

In one of my projects I'm using a TP700 Comfort panel. Lately I've added a left and right slide-in screen. Primary I'm using these screens to have quick access for setpoint changements by means of I/O fields. The slide-in screens are covering half of the total screen.

Problem:

When I want to adjust a value in an I/O field from the right slide-in screen, the numeric keyboard appears. The numeric keys are not on top of this slide in screen so when I press for example "1" the slide-in screen disappears as well as the on-screen keyboard. In this way I can not change the values.

For the left slide-in screen there's no problem because the numeric keys from the on-screen numeric keyboard are exactly on top of the slide-in screen.

Already tried:

I've duplicated the HMI project and changed the device for a TP900 Comfort panel. This panel is using a different on-screen keyboard in Runtime than the TP700. This keyboard is smaller and size adjustable and is the same keyboard which the TP700 uses outside runtime (e.g. to adjust settings in the control panel from Windows CE). With the TP900 I've no problem with adjusting values in the I/O fields from the right slide-in screen.

Question:

Is there a way to change the type of on-screen keyboard in Runtime on the TP700 or is there another way to fix this issue?

The system is showing me it has two different types of on-screen keyboards.

Hi,

in the system control you can use "Siemens HMI Input Panel - Options".

Here you can "show Resize button" and "save current size and position"

No, this doesn't help because this keyboard is different than the one which is used inside Runtime on the TP700. I really like to use this keyboard in Runtime as well, because this one is working in combination with the slide-in screen. The TP900 does use this keyboard.

It's a customizable keyboard for WinCC Comfort/Advanced for Comfort Panels and Advanced RT. You can change the scale of the keyboard by changing (the size of the keys in) the faceplate.

Thank you both so much for the information!

At this moment I'm testing both solutions. I think I like the solution from H.J. more. Just because of the speed. After entering a new value, this keyboard is automatically closed. The only (very small) downside is that the keyboard has a fixed position on the screen. This can only be changed by the VBS script.

Anyway, kudos for you both!

I guess that for the same functionality like on the TP900 we have to wait for an update...
