Hello DavidBrown I am not sure if 25 bit SSI setting on SM 338 will work for a 24 bit SSI encoder. However you can use ET200S SSI Encoder Module : 6ES7 138-4DB03-0AB0 in a ET200S Rack. It supports : 13/14/15/16/17/18/19/20/21/22/23/24/25 Bits !! Here are the Details of : 6ES7 138-4DB03-0AB0 SIMATIC DP, ELECTRONIC MODULE F. ET 200S, 1 SSI 25BIT/1MHZ 15MM WIDE MODULE FOR CONN.
