SM322 relay output

Jarrar Experienced Member Joined: 4/12/2013 Last visit: 8/22/2024 Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	Dear All, we are using Relay Output module (6ES7 322-1HH01-0AA0) in an application where the outputs continuously get ON and OFF For example in a Pencil making plant the output channels get ON and OFF in every second. This means than the output channels get ON and OFF 86,400 times in just one day. Thus In 2 days , the limit mentioned in catalog (Number of operating cycles) for 6ES7 322-1HH01-0AA0 will be crossed. Are we interpreting correctly and shall we go for any alternative? Please advice

Usually switching capacity and service life of contacts depends on the load (resistive or inductive), voltage and current. Here is a table from module data manual (see attachment). Please advice Hello Jarrar, I guess in your case it would be better to use 6ES7322-8BH01-0AB0 SM322, 16DO, 24V DC, 0,5A and solid state relais instead relay output. regards
