Can anybody tell me some basics for programming this module: Do I need make some DB or I need only use MOVE operation or...? Thanks for help.

Hello A.P.86, the SM338 module is a rather old one and I guess it is already cancelled and discontinued. Therefore you will not find any examples for programming with TIA portal. I am even not sure, if you will find the modle in HW-catalog of TIA portal. However, if you have to program it with TIA portal, you can only rely on older programming information. I have addes some links that could be helpful to you: Product Information on the Reference Manual Programmable Logic Controllers S7-300 Module Data Release 3 Position Decoder Module SM 338; POS-INPUT; SM 338 Ultrasonic Position Encoding Module Both manuals also have short programming exaples inside. SM338 (Ultrasonic Position Encoder), Object Manager for the STEP 7 Versions V3.0, V3.1, V4.02, V5.0, V5.1, V5.2, V5.3, V5.4 this is the configuration SW-PACKAGE for SM338 regards
