SmartAcess Connection by PC to Panel

Marques Posts: 126 Rating: (2)	I have establish a connection by SmartAcess between a PC and a Panel. ThePC only get and set values on the panel. Ihave tried the example of Siemens Soap-Calls.xls but i amwondering why PDFMaker.xla and EUROTOOL.xla are unable to edit and protected by password. Is anyway to see what this scripts do??Edit them? Shouldn´t this software to be open, in order to help the users?? I would like to build a get and set program in Visual Basic without the excel help. Any sugestion? By the way this should be the communication protocol, or not? I help you can help me. Regards, Marques

In that exampleif you opentheVisual Basicproject that is executed by the macro, you can see PDFMaker.xla and EUROTOOL.xla are unable to edit and protected by password. I want to save the values into a Access Data Base, so i will not use excell. Regards, Marques

If acrobat-writer is installed on the PC where this Excel-file has been created, automaticly these macros will be shown. nemo

Marques Posts: 126 Rating: (2)	The SQL database (the example you gave me) works fine if you are runing the project in a PC and store the data in that same PC, but i want to gather the data (values fromS7 project)from a panel. Correct me if i am wrong but i need to use the SmartAcess, and in this situation i can not use the SQL solution. I think i have to read the values like in first example, buti need to now what the EUROTOOL.xla macros do. Regards, Marques
