Hello All!! Hope you are doing well. I am also having the 7-30 V Absolute Sin/Cos encoder (AG7Y) and SMC20 card. so as per your information I have connected resistors in the cabinet but the SMC20 card still supplying 4.65 Volts only. Connections have been checked thoroughly, nothing found. Though in some other occasions we have already used that parallel connecting resistors and the SMC card is generating 9.65 Volt for encoder and encoder is working. Can you suggest any other way to get the encoder working with SMC20? Thank You in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

I think they meant to install the Resistors inside the encoder connector at the SMC20 end, not inside the SMC20. Are you certain the pin order is correct on the SMC20 side of the connector? They are a mirror image of the encoder cable connector, so it is very easy to get wrong. Strong bright light and magnifying lens should help.
